Syncope Laboratory

In cases with transient loss of consciousness the diagnosis may not be sometimes immediately apparent requiring a dedicated evaluation. At our center, a Head up Tilt Table Test combined with synchronized high-definition video and EEG recording in a standardized format along with provocative tests can address many questions at once. Not only can our protocols differentiate between seizure, syncope and psychogenic causes of transient LOC but also highlight predominant underlying mechanism of syncope in a particular patient.

 Management decisions can range from a simple reassurance to requiring immediate hospitalization based on the results. We are the first center in India to provide such a facility.
